Announcing Survey Notes (ISSN 1096-2999), a publication series from APHSA. Published nine times a year, Survey Notes reports the findings of a base-line, comprehensive state welfare reform survey, as well as future surveys. Each issue focuses on specific welfare reform issues. Sample topics include management, service delivery, and policy decisions; eligibility, work, and benefits; children’s issues; food stamps; and population-based groups.
The Welfare Reform Information Center was established in spring 1997 by the American Public Welfare Association to provide state and local human service agencies, educators, researchers, foundations, and the media with a range of useful information.
This compilation ($25 if purchased separately) provides information about each state’s decisions on 14 critical welfare reform policies in effect on July 1, 1997, as verified by the chief state human service administrator. A cross index allows the reader to quickly compare which states took similar actions on each of the policy decisions.
