As winter weather moves across the country, we know many of you are facing a wide range of conditions—from heavy snow and high winds to ice, freezing rain, and rapidly changing forecasts. On behalf of APWA, we wanted to reach out to say that we are thinking of you and your teams during this time.
Your safety and well-being are what matter most. Please do what you need to do to protect yourselves, your families, and your communities. If these storms create challenges for your organization, please don’t hesitate to contact APWA for assistance. We are here to help support all public works professionals, especially during moments like these.
We also want to remind you that our Winter Maintenance Subcommittee continues to serve as a place for shared knowledge, peer connection, and practical insight throughout the season. In addition, our upcoming North American Snow Conference offers resources, discussions, and real-world case studies that many members find useful as they navigate winter operations.
We’re grateful for the work you do and for the resilience you show, often under difficult conditions. We know you are prepared for this and will do your best to get each of your communities back to normal in no time.
