The November APWA Reporter—PWX in print—is now available online! Did you miss PWX? Were you there, but didn’t get a chance to experience all you wanted to? Or would you like to enjoy all the pictures from PWX in this issue? There’s a little something for everyone.
APWA’s 2025 theme of “People, Purpose, and Presence” was everywhere throughout the conference. As the new Board took office, President Vic Bianes, PE, talked about the theme, as well as the new initiative of the APWA Experience.
Diving deeper into this edition, read about:
APWA staff member Corinne Watts tells the story of the PWX Happy Hour Jams that were jam-packed with good info and gave participants the chance to ask the questions on topics they wanted to know more about, and share with others good solutions they’d put into practice.
APWA staff member Mark Shade shares recaps of the Get Acquainted Party that makes you feel like you were there. Against a backdrop of an important public works project, the party had food, fun, and entertainment. Plus, some great pics from the party (maybe you’re in one!)
It wasn’t all fun and games, serious technical issues were offered in various education sessions. APWA staff member Leah Harnish writes about the issue of microplastics in the article, “Microplastics: Where We Are and Where We’re Going.”
The December edition of the APWA Reporter will be all about Facilities and Grounds. From the importance of putting eyes on things, to facility staffing, and creating facility solutions for the unhoused, and more, you’ll find interesting content you won’t want to miss.
