Dockless bikes and scooters are popping up in cities across the nation and are likely here to stay. Whether this emerging and disruptive technology is a successful “first mile – last mile” transportation option or a nuisance to your community’s right-of-way will likely depend on what policies you have in place to manage their presence. Attend this session to hear the stories and lessons-learned from cities that have or are in the process of developing policies to govern and manage dockless transportation. In this session, we’ll examine all the factors to consider when developing a dockless transportation policy, including fleet sizes, data sharing, fee structures, and social equity.
