The Michigan APWA Chapter partnered with Grand Rapids Community College to build a Public Works Academy, moving individuals from poverty to great jobs in public works and filling the need of public works and road commissions throughout western Michigan. Learning Objectives:
1. Determine how to design, build and conduct a public works academy in their region with community colleges.
2. Examine how to recruit individuals, retain and grow your team.
