In this program the Center for Sustainability (C4S), International Affairs Committee and others who are working to create more sustainable communities will discuss and identify challenges, solutions and resources that can help communities prepare for the risk of disasters. Participants will gain a better understanding of the lessons communities, both in North America and internationally, have learned from previous disasters and changing environmental risks and how they are applying what they’ve learned to their preparedness plans.

Primers are used to educate policymakers about public works roles and responsibilities in public rights of way, the impact of federal workforce development policies on the industry and workforce, and the importance of resilient infrastructure.
PWX
