Through APWA's partnership with People to People International, APWA members visited Cuba in November 2013. This presentation will share the speakers' experiences in Cuba both interacting with Cuban public works professionals and immersing themselves in the Cuban culture.
Learning Objectives:
1. Examine how American public works responsibilities and Cuban public works responsibilities are similar and different
2. Review how the Cuban culture differs from North American culture and how it impacts public works
3. Challenge yourself to learn more about international exchanges of technology and practices for the betterment of all through improved public works
