About This Group

The Technology Committee was established in 2024 to continue the work of the former Engineering and Technology Committee. The committee has a work plan to support the APWA Strategic Plan and provide education that supports public works technology in general and the APWA Top 5 Trending Technologies each year.

Mission

To support APWA members who operate, improve, and maintain public works and infrastructure through advocacy, education, resource development, and member engagement in the field of public-works-related technology.

Resources for Members

The Resource Center has a collection of resources focused on technology. Items include recorded sessions from past PWX sessions, past Click, Listen, and Learn webinars, APWA Reporter articles, and other programs, Tech boxes and other tools created by the Technology Committee.

Technology Knowledge Team

In an effort to expand volunteer opportunities to those who may be interested in contributing to trending technology, the committee has created a Technology Committee Knowledge Team. Members of the knowledge team will commit to share information with APWA members by writing articles; presenting Click, Listen, and Learn webinars; speaking at PWX and other conferences; and other projects.

To Join the Technology Knowledge Team, please email interest to education@apwa.org.
