Deanne Walters has more than 15 years of association experience, primarily focused on education and member development. She has a BA in biochemistry from William Jewell College and a master’s degree in student affairs and higher education administration from Indiana State University. She joined APWA in 2017 as the Sr. Manager of Education. In her current role as Director of Education at APWA, Deanne focuses on developing APWA’s educational strategy and ensuring cohesion in APWA’s educational offerings. She works closely with APWA’s Committees, whose members serve as subject matter experts, to ensure their deliverables meet member needs and fit into the overall educational strategy and priorities of the association.
