Membership Overview

The American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works—a fact that sets it apart from other organizations and makes it an effective voice for public works. With a worldwide membership of more than 31,500 strong, APWA includes not only people from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies, but also private sector personnel who supply products and services to those professionals.

Membership Types

APWA offers three membership types to fit your needs no matter what size or type of organization you are or if you are joining as an individual professional.

Public agency group memberships are available to any federal, provincial, state, local, or other public agency based on the population served.

Corporate group membership is available to all non-governmental entities, including public utilities and entities furnishing public works services or products.

Individual membership is available to any official or employee of a governmental agency, manufacturer, supplier, contractor, or consulting firm who is actively engaged in the field of public works.
