On behalf of the undersigned organizations, we write to commend the recent passage of the Wastewater Infrastructure Pollution Prevention and Environmental Safety (WIPPES) Act (S. 1092) under unanimous consent. We appreciate your leadership on this important legislation. Your leadership was instrumental in positioning S. 1092 as a commonsense, bipartisan measure, enabling its swift passage on the Senate floor.

Our broad coalition strongly supports the legislation’s straightforward and practical approach to addressing the preventable challenges caused by the improper disposal of non-flushable wipes in the nation’s wastewater systems. We believe the WIPPES Act will meaningfully advance our shared goal of protecting public infrastructure and the environment, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to support its final passage and enactment during this Congress.
