Public Works Institutes are a chapter-based certificate program focused on supervision and management practices within all areas of Public Works.

There are 18 nationally approved APWA Public Works Institutes:

• Illinois Public Service Institute
• Iowa Public Employee Leadership Institute
• Kansas City Metro Public Works Institute
• Michigan Public Service Institute
• Mid-Atlantic Public Works Institute
• Minnesota Public Works Institute
• New England Public Works Institute
• Northern California Chapter Public Works Institute
• Northwest Public Works Institute

• Rocky Mountain Region Public Works Institute
• Sacramento Public Works Management Institute
• San Diego / Imperial Counties Public Works Institute
• Southern California Public Works Institute
• Public Works Institute of Texas (PWITX)

• Wisconsin Public Works Management Institute
