About This Group

One APWA member, appointed by the President-Elect, may serve up to three one-year terms. The APWA President-Elect may choose to extend beyond three years.

The purpose of this Consortium is to maintain a presence with the national committee to assure that public works concerns regarding homeland security issues are addressed. The Consortium’s mission is to provide a forum of key national organizations through effective collaboration, coordination and leveraging that positively influences national policies, strategies, practices and guidelines to preserve the public safety and security of the nation.

Involves two, 2-3-day meetings and monthly conference calls with approximately one hour per month review of documents. Requires an annual written report submitted to APWA. Appointee is responsible for expenses.
