“Earning the distinction of a MarCom Award for our brand videos two years in a row speaks directly to the commitment and dedication of APWA staff to represent and support public works professionals everywhere. In addition, winning an award for our PWR podcast in its first year is an outstanding achievement. It’s an honor to share our members’ stories and bring awareness to the impact of public works on our communities,” said APWA CEO Scott D. Grayson, CAE.

MarCom is one of the most respected creative competitions in the world. The MarCom Award is highly sought after, and winning one means receiving peer recognition from the creative industry. MarCom winners range from huge international creative agencies and Fortune 500 companies to individual creative professionals. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Winners are selected from over 300 categories in Print, Web, Video, and Strategic Communications.

“APWA is nothing without its people. People are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m grateful that the ReliefWorks initiative—a program created to support the people serving our communities after a disaster—could be recognized with a MarCom Award,” said APWA President Robert Garland, PE, PWLF.
