The APWA Emergency Management Peer Resource Directory is a resource for APWA and CPWA members, which contains information on volunteer public works professionals with direct experience in various areas of emergency management willing to provide advice or information on emergency management matters.

Disclaimer: All volunteer Peers (“Peers”) have self-identified as having expertise in various federal, state, provincial, and/or local government topics. Users of the APWA Emergency Management Peer-to-Peer Exchange Database (the “Database”), agree and fully understand the American Public Works Association, its officers, board of directors, members, and staff (collectively, “APWA”) do not represent, warrant, guarantee or endorse the qualifications or limitations of the Peers participating in the Emergency Management Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program (the “Program”). However, APWA reserves the right to remove any party from the Database at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability to anyone participating in the Program.

As a condition of use of the Database, Users agree to indemnify APWA and the Peers participating in the Program from and against any and all liability, claims, and demands resulting from use of the Database, including without limitation any liability, claims, or demands arising from or in connection with any statements, information, recommendations, guidance, or advice provided by the Peer under this Program.

You understand that the Peer is not an agent of APWA. Neither APWA nor the Peer make any warranty or other assurance that the Peer’s recommendations will meet the requirements, laws, or regulations of any federal, state, provincial, or local agency. Any User of the Database maintains, at all times, that they (or their employer) are solely responsible for decisions made to act or not to act on any statement, information, recommendation, guidance, or advice provided by the Peer under this Program.

Users of the Database are expected to enter into separate agreements with the Peers to secure and address confidentiality of proprietary information. Users also agree they will not compensate any volunteer Peer in relation to their services through this Program and Peers agree to serve as advisors, offering guidance or recommendations to the User, free of charge. It is further understood if a Peer provides any information regarding a contractor or service provider while participating in the Program, such information is not to be construed as an endorsement of said contractor or service provider.

As a condition of participating in this Program, all Peers agree to indemnify APWA from and against any and all liability, claims, and demands resulting from any statement, information, recommendation, guidance, or advice provided by the Peer under this Program.
