Microtrenching is being employed by the telecommunication and fiber optics industry, but it has impacts to the right-of-way. Public works professionals and right-of-way managers must better understand standard practices and policies related to microtrenching clearances, restoration, and permitting. This presentation will be a panel discussion from public works professionals with experience developing policy, permitting, and model codes. This session will also include lessons learned from past installations and coordination of microtrenching contractors in the right-of-way.
