Solid Waste Collections is a transportation service and logistics industry. The method of collection and the equipment chosen to provide those services impacts the costs to provide those services. It is an industry best practice to ensure the selection of equipment purchased is a partnership between the business unit responsible for providing the services and the fleet managers responsible for maintaining the equipment.
